In April, the ‘YourNature’ tourist eco-resort will welcome its first occupants. Nearly 188 tourist accommodations, representing some 400 beds, have been built in wood in Maubray in the heart of the state forest of the Princes of Ligne. Recreational buildings have also been set up in this 280-hectare site (swimming pool, mini-golf, ice rink, etc.).
The development of the eco-resort began 10 years ago. It is the work of the Peronnes Invest group, of which Prince Edouard de Ligne-La Trémoille is the founder and current CEO.
The companies Préfabois and Wanty were at work for the first phase of construction. Throughout the project, TREEX assumed the role of quantity surveyor, in partnership with SECO. Its role mainly consisted of a visit on the site once a month to see the progress of the work and to check that the invoicing matches.
A call for tenders will now be launched for the second phase of the project, which provides for the construction of 200 additional dwellings as well as certain additional recreational buildings.
